Officials are searching for a missing Oklahoma man this morning, after his family reported the 19 year old missing in Southern Oregon. Last month, the Harney County Sheriff's Office received a call from Victor Self of Oklahoma City, saying that his son Dustin was lost in Southern Oregon. Teen inspired by 'Into the Wild' missing in Eastern Oregon
Dustin Self had left his parents' home in the Oklahoma City suburb of Piedmont a month ago "to see if he could live in the wild," and to investigate some churches that practice a South American religion that uses a hallucinogenic tea as a sacrament, his parents said. One is in Ashland, and the other in Portland.
