Circumstances: Bertha was reported missing by out of state family during January 1993. The investigation revealed that the last person who saw her was her husband, at their home during the early evening hours of 12/27/1992.
Bertha left behind two daughters: and 8 years old from an earlier marriage and a 4year old with her, then, present husband.
This investigation has continued over the years with negative results for any trace of Bertha.

Poky Puppy: I feel for Bertha's mother. It must be so hard not knowing what happened to her daughter. There are actually a lot of cases that are being looked into and solved by amateur sleuths. I saw that Bertha's case has been discussed on the websleuth website. I looked at her NamUs file, though, and there's very little information to go on. Are there any unique physical traits that didn't get documented? Like scars from injury or surgery? Did she ever break a bone? Any deformities? or did she at any time have a serious illness? Also, is there anything that she might have worn or carried regularly that likely disappeared with her? Like a purse she routinely carried or a keychain that's never been found? I realize you probably don't know what she was wearing that day but any information could be a help. And finally, do you have a way to provide a clearer picture? Even if she was younger in it, it could be helpful. You would just need to indicate about how old she was in it. Poky Puppy
