Circumstances: Michael King was last in contact with his family on Wednesday, December 3, 2008. He had been holding his niece's rent money and was expected to attend a family member's birthday party early in the month. When his family hadn't heard from him by Saturday, December 6th, they reported him missing.
On December 9th, police conducted a preliminary search of his residence on Jake Hill Road in West Finley Twp, where he lived alone. The only thing that appeared to be missing was his blood pressure medicine. The following day, police brought in bloodhounds from Greensburg and searched the 15 acres of Mr King's property, including a junkyard he operated there. Every car in the junkyard was thoroughly searched, but no trace of Mr King was found.
State police have been following up on reports that a car was seen on Mr King's property on Thursday, December 4th. It is also possible that a friend of his, a long-haul trucker, may have taken Mr King with him.
Family members have said that it is unlike him to be gone for so long without making contact.
