Circumstances: Leslie Dawn Mashburn walked away from her home in December of 1997. She has not been seen since. She had been battling depression for a long time. She told her mother that she felt like jumping off the bridge. She lived less than half a mile from the bridge at what used to be the Carbonton Dam Bridge on Hwy 42. A search was conducted using search teams in and out of the water surrounding the Dam, river and the roads in that area. Helicopters, Planes, and canines were used as well. She was never found.
