Circumstances: Gregory was last seen in the last week of May (1984) in Leadville Colorado. Gregory liked his privacy and hadn't been in contact with his family (Nebraska) since 1978. On July 16th, 1984, Gregory's vehicle was found abandoned near the Buffalo Meadows Trail Head in Chaffee County. It was later learned that the vehicle had been there since May. Gregory liked camping but most of his gear was found at his home in Leadville. Gregory had also been recently laid off from his job.
